It's a lil' high poly, using poly's on things like the spikes on the sword-hilt, but hey, we're not going to have a discussion like that again :P

I love what you've made so far, good work!

Alright, time for a small update. I've been busy working on other 3D stuff that I might not be able to reveal just yet (or at all), but here is my progress on the textures for the swords so far (hopefully future updates will not take so long in the future)

This all looks great. The only tiny detail that I noticed is that a lot of the spikes don't look like they are a part of the mesh that they are sitting on? Could just be the rendering. The reason that I bring it up is that I was reading an article on UDN about how intersecting polygons can occasionally cause rendering glitches in a game engine as the engine. But as for the overal form and design it's great.

I'v read that also, but it depends on the engine. If it is not bothered by the intersections, it's a good way to save polys.

The contrast in colours between the armour and character skin tone could stand with being more distinct. It all blends in a little too much at the moment, but should need too much variation to make it pop

Alright, here is where I stand. I added some spec to the armor and a little bit on the body, also made a few slight changes to parts on the armor texture. It's still open for crits, so feel free:
