Cool idea. I think the muscles on the back near the scapula need some work.

Not bad...head looks cool...but I think body needs some work.Arms and legs are looking fine...but I think the body is kinda to wide...compared to legs...maybe this is just me
but i think the part where upper body starts to get wider...part somewhere around begining of chest and end of stomach should start being wider a bit to higher than now... (hope u understood what I ment to say...im not quite good at spelling) ![]() Keep it up!

I think its a good start, my only comment is I think that the bumpmap on the head looks too much like a bumpmap if you know what I mean. Have you tried sculpting the details out with zBrush? Have you seen the movie "Immortal"? May give you some good reference if not........

i'll check on the scapula... i don't have good references fot the body... most of the model is my plain observation ![]() 3DSpirit: thanks for ur crit... but i tried to have the wider shoulder view for this one ![]() Diabolos: yeah i've sculped the details in z brush... my bad skills doesn't quite show that up ![]() I didn't see "Immortal" but thanks a lot for the screen grab! Listen guys... i'm pretty confused about the clothing and the armor of the character...can anyone suggest some? |

well, i reall suggest watchin immortal. is a very impressive movie and te theme matches yours, rom what ive seen.
as far as armor, the gods in immortal dont have any... ancient egyptians wore helmets and lots of cloth, as far as i know. not to familiar with their armies... it is a cool project ad i really like the detail you put in the head, looks good. gl dude, waiting to see some progress

Sorry my comment was not aimed at your level of skill, just think that the detail needs to be a little more defined if you can or even if you want to. It's your model and your interpretation........
Armour - just as Tank mentioned - here is a small image I found. D,

the model looks like it is coming along nicely. Be careful about definition in some areas - the knees for example - we should see evidence of muscle, sinew and bone. I can't make out a patella yet.

cool update. a few points though. the toes are really to similar. they could use some variation.
the leg guard looks really nice. it also looks like it will be made of metal or metal clad. i doubt it will be very pleasant to walk in. the piece between the foot and the ankle joint should prolly look more like leather, or something that will be able to bend when walking. gl

The calf muscles on your legs are too high, they should start below the knee, not behind it. (IMO)
