VW Beetle- Classic
Didn't modeled anything for a long time. Started it yesterday, hoping to
model a decent beetle. If you see any thing incorrect tell me, I'm sure there are some that I can't see, and drop some comments. ![]() ![]() |

Lookin' good!
The roof on the back looks a bit sharp. I would point it out in a draw up but, I dont have photoshop anymore. ![]() I'm waiting for updates! ![]()

don't know much about beetles but there seems to be a dent in the back window/roof part.. it goes up to much in the middle part and creates a strange shadow..

Be weary of the lumps and bumps in your mesh. It's a challenging car to model because of it's curvy lines, but it'll be a real treat if you do it well and clean up that mesh.

tedzbug you have no idea how grateful I'm! I have been looking for site like this, thanks man!
It will be nice to see you model a beetle too, you have the best refrence allready Yeah its a challenging model with those droping curved lines, but I will try my best to do this classic car on the good side. |

I would go crazy if I had those blurry blueprints. I used this one:
http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/2...3001963jj7.gif I got it from the-blueprints.com, it's the best site I know for blueprints. Worked on the windshield and back end and other small things. What a sexy back I love it!![]() |

Haven't had the time to really work on this model yesterday and today so I did some
small tweeks and did a quick test render. Don't know why but the chrome came out dark. ![]() I hope I will have more to show next update. |

Looks pretty good so far. Are the headlights just an image map?
The chrome is dark because its reflecting the black environment. |

Yes, the headlights are image maps altough I did modeled the inside of the headlights but it doesn't show, I will maybe make some changes. I totally forgot that the chrome is refleting the enviorment sily me thanks for the reminder. |

Done some stuff today, worked on the oldschool rims and did the famous VW badge. If you will
notice it also appears at the center of the rims. ![]() |

Did most of the exterior work, Added the back and front bumpers, the foot pedal thing on
the side and started the interior, I'm not going to do it detailed, just enough to make it look beliveable from the outside. Still got some more things to complete on the outside, hope to finish them on next update. ![]() ![]() |
