That was amazing! If you allow me, my only crit about the video would be:
-more different camera angle -sea animation It's really an awesome chasing scene, you did a great work! The black hawk is fantastic too, I wish you'll make a video with it (black hawk down style )Great modeling, texturing and render. I really liked the effects (particles I presume when fireing and the empty bolts falling) Thumbs up for you! ![]() |

Hmmm...the camera was weird. I couldn't tell if I was supposed to be in a plane or not. Then, those periods where things would disappear was very disorienting. I found myself staring at a boring landscape.
Solutions: Don't yaw the camera so much, or use different angles, as Mr.T suggested. When the planes go out of sight, send the camera into a cloud with zero visibility until the planes return. While there's nothing to look at, you could flood the audio channel with chatter and other sound effects. The bottom line is: In order to have a film be appealing to the audience, you must constantly keep them engaged. There were some strengths, though--namely when the planes were in close proximity, and the camera path actually worked.

really great work
the planes were great and animated well. if I was to crit at all. it would be that setting it over the sea is nice to an extent, but could have had a more epic feel if over say southern english landscape. to get a feeling more of height and scale also there were a few times when the sea looked flat and strange; when reflecting the sun. however the action i felt was well paced, and it did at least to me feel like I; as a viewer was flying wingman ) also the sequance near the end with the bullet casings and then the black smoke was awesome! overall, some great work mate, very impressive ![]() |

To me it looks more like the view you might get in a computer game, minus all the hud information that tells you whats going on...
Being a 3d animated short film I can't help feeling you should make more use of what 3d's strengths are, ie. Infinitely adjustable viewpoints. I think for instance shots from the wings of the planes being attacked facing backwards would make for an interesting shot... Also if the planes were closer to the ground at some point in the battle a view from the ground could make for more drama. Also smoke from damaged planes can make interesting shapes in the sky maybe =p You have nice particle effects and good audio, and the models are pretty fine.. So mostly good, just camera and possibly setting that needs work really =)
