DWIII - 3D - Tekei - Dr. Voody

Hi everyone.
I decided to give DWIII a shot and since I wasn't registered on any of the participating forums i decided to join you guys. Hope it's not a problem

Here's a quick concept of a character I might go for but I'm not sure if he fit's the theme at all. The idea is some kind of Voodoo magician. I want to do something with his wrist armor and the pants/shoes need some more work aswell. I had an idea of making him look more like a scarecrow but I'm not sure yet.
What do you guys think?

Ok, here's an update. I really should go to bed now, running out of ideas anyway.
I need to work more detail into it, and I'm not sure if the logo's are legible enough.
Played around with some color aswell.

Hi again. Time to continue my work on this one. Problem is I've got some ideas for minor tweaks on his clothing and such but I need some help on how I can make him look more supernatural. As he is now he doesn't look like he can win a war

I'll upload an updated picture in a while!

ideas to thug him up:

bring those boots up some more, halfway between the knee and the calf. And have it get wider and looser on the leg as it gets higher on the leg

straps of some sort around te upper leg, this will cause the pants to bunch up in areas giving a better look, instead of the straight line you have now.

instead of one dead bunny, make a belt of dead bunnies. This shows that he doesn't care about the cute things in life, only killing. You can put the belt around his waist, or have it hanging from a shoulder.

he needs something on his back, a pack, or a back pack, maybe take the bag he has now, and rotate it more to the back, it will help when the fighting starts, hanging on the leg, it will justget in the way.

He needs a weapon, after he gets on, he needs a place to put it.

Maybe take the strap idea from the legs and toss a few on the arms, then make the claw things on his hands bigger, you want thetm to go threw everything he cuts, not just a flesh wound.

oh, and if your into it, give him a doctors mask, it can have blood spots on it from where the blood squirts all over.

The hat is awsome, just tilt it down more so that it covers his eyes, and then you can only see his eyes from a down up angle. Which is where all his enemies will be right before he kills them. The last thing they see are his eyes.

Here's an update for you. He's got a name from now on
I think I'm getting somewhere but I'm not 100% satisfied yet.
I've lowered the hat a bit and lengthened his wrist claws. I also switched the logo for Buzzy's version. Was that a good choice?
I made his boots longer and added a doctor's mask after Big Toe's advice.
Added some blood on the doll aswell and changed his eyes a bit.

What do you guys think?

Ok, getting better and better. Now then, next step... Ask youself this...

The mask is pretty straightforward... Can it be cooler? What would be a more original?

Same with the blades... They look quite Shredder at the moment. Can they be attached in a more interesting way? Should they just be strapped on? Or should the blade be part of an armoured sleeve?

The Doll next. Ok so it's a voodoo doll. Cool. No problems there, but what would be a new twist? Something creepier. Something that attracts us and repulses us at the same time?

These are the sorts of questions you should be asking. Don't just settle for the first pass, work it up and improve it.

But you are definitely on the right track my friend.

Good advice there MonteCristo, I'll definately think along those lines before I start the modelling.
I totally agree on the blades, they look a bit... odd as it is.
About the doll, it was meant to be cute but I'll see if I can come up with something more original over night.

i like where this is going. a thought about the doll... if you want to keep it cute that's fine... but keep in mind this is an ancient/magical artifact. what distinguishes it as such?
