i'm a big fan of Mudbox, i've only used a few times but found it incredibly easy to start digital sculpting with, there's not too many tools to learn or hotkeys/shortcuts and you can create something visually pleasing in a matter of minutes. I really like it, I think Zbrush has too many features and unless you're in for the long haul it's going to take you a while to get used to Zbrush as at first glance it looks very daunting.
Mudbox for me is very fast, user friendly and easily customisable, very interesting read, thank you. CG.

I'm Mudbox all the way, Aleks. Can't wait for this one, finally looks like we can subdivide further than the 1 million mark and have it run smoothly too.

Well 3dsmax 2009 came out in March 2008.
So here's me hoping Mudbox 2009 comes out sometime this year. I've got a lot of talking to do with Mudbox 2009. ![]()

I prefer Zbrush and I'm still excited. How can a Zbrush user not be with no need for HD Geometry or slowdown associated with scaling the model. Not to mention real time HDRI and ambient occlusion should make it a treat to look at.
Zbrush will likely remain a big part of my workflow, but I could see myself throwing mudbox in there, especially when I need to work high res. |

Hopefully this means we can paint in Mudbox now.
Poly painting in Zbrush works well, but to get the highest rez possible I have to deal with slowdown associated with working at the max subd level. |
