Well, i made a concept today, while waiting for a train. i had this idea of a really big robot. and i mean big.
i wanted something that could literally walk all over the enemy. and shoot 'em. and fly... with a banner... so, i present: OMNUS he'll have a big, fast shooting gun aswell as an energy weapon in one of his arms. i plan on making some sort of rocket on his back, so he can blast off of a planet's surface and bombard it. or do a barbarian-style leap attack. either way, he's got a big rocket on his back. to make sure he has to do as little as possible (he's a bit lazy) he has this huge holographic banner over his head. so when enemies see this approaching, they'll think twice about picking a fight. so, in conclusion: big robot: check big guns: double check rocket: check banner: check all i need to do now, is make sure i dont got over the poly limit... ![]()

Great start, I feel like the physique is too reminiscent of a regular human in a suit of armor with a couple cables attached. The laser grid insignia is rad though!

Loafie: hey man, yeah i agree with the overall look of him being very human. i might alter the legs. not sure yet
playing with several ideas atm. M_Cederstrom: thnx ![]() Perversonality . i think mister sad house is going to become a pedastal for cute little Omnus. you know, building instead of a skull. ![]() i made some progress over the last few days. not to much. got school and such... now, before anyone starts, yes he is very "flattened". that look will clear up when he's got his arms and legs and such. i need to fix a way of making gim a bit more flexible. prolly something near the waist. we'll see. for now, a little render for you guys.

well done, looking forward to the details to make this guy really shine. And maybe go for blue rather than red for team colours??

thnx guys. glad you like him
![]() discmage: im not sure about the colors yet. black and red are just such a great combo. they inspire awe and fear. but we'll see. i got another update. did a quick run at the arms. the base is pretty much how i wanted them to be. i had an idea for the legs. instead of humanoid legs, i thought i'd go for t-rex legs seemed fitting and it works pretty well. got some placeholders atm.hopefully i'll have time to work on them some more today. later all.

nother update. and some calculations. based on Mr. Sadhouse(whom i figure to be 8 meters/24 feet high) i came to the startling conclusion that Omnus is 67.6 meter or 221.78 feet tall.
i'd say thats big enough.... anyway, i wanted to so some artificial muscles on him. in the concept there's some hydrolics, but they looked too old fashioned. i removed them, but i did keep the heavy duty joint. i also put those muscle at the shoulder. works pretty good, if ya ask me. currently sitting at around 680.000 poly's. gonna call it a day for now tho. time to do some serious gaming while i still can ![]() later all.

Looking good. His arms seem a little short to me, especially if he fully stands up without his legs being bent. Loving the style though, keep it up.

SR_6274: hey man. i noticed the arms, like you said. but, the legs are based on T-rex leg. so he wont be doing any tall(er) standing. atleast, not much. he might extend his legs all the way when entering an atmosphere or after he jumps, too cushion the landing.
i got a small update. been working on the feet today. geez, they didnt want cooperate. i'm still not happy, so i might re-do em later. for now, ill leave em on. its better than those wierd highheel type things he had... (mr sadhouse was laughing at him, i swear...)

Yarr, more updates.
i made the hands. took me, ooh, about 2 hours. so now too bad. im probably gonna redo the feet in the same style. the "normal" hand has 4 fingers instead of 5, because 4 is pretty much all you need. let's face it, the only thing the pinky is good for, is picking either your nose of your ear.... anyway, its has 4. the other hand has 5. and a cannon in the palm. the fingers will rotate to a semi normal position so he can grab and punch stuff. when he's going to fire his cannon, the fingers will rotate to the position they are in now and bend. think deathstar before it shoots for the effect. the cannon will have some kind of iris in the middle to prevent getting debris inside and such. he will have an artillery-sized gun in his normal hand. still have to think of something for that. and to compensate for this lach of mobility(no twisting in the midsection...) he'll have a "small" turret on his right shoulder. well, on to the next part, i guess.
