Backburner Hosting Question (3ds max)

Hey....

Ive currently setup three machine to render via backburner.

My question is whether I can submit a job from one computer, but leave the hosting to another computer??

ATM I need to submit from the same computer as I want as being the host/distributor.

I believe that if you setup the node that is handling the jobs to send to itself then it should work. What I mean is when you want to send a job to render and the machine your sending it from is the machine that is also handling the job, you setup the node to "127.0.0.1". That should make it send the job to itself.

in short

yes.

you can submit the job from any machine, it doesn't matter whether it's running the manager or not.

It seems that when I submit a job from my laptop it only shows the job in the monitor on my laptop. I guess that means its the host.

What I want is to submit a job from my desktop, so it shows up on my laptops monitor.

Is this possible??

I figured it out. Was just a simple matter of directing the desktop and laptop to the same job folder.

Manager>General Settings>Job Path
