Digital Domain worked on five main categories. Alice the Pretender. The kitchen bots. Wheelie. Soundwave, and Reed Man. About 130 shots in all, with “90% really hard stuff!” according to VFX Supervisor Matthew Butler. Bay felt he had already shown the transformations in the first film, so wanted to move on to other things. However, Reedman and Alice the Pretender were two that were designed to transform.
