well, i kept on scrappin ideas but i figured i might as well post somethin huh lol. wasnt sure whether to go the badass route or the sadness and despair way.

like where its going. i think a bit of shadows, even if its smoke or something, coming in the bakground could maybe help add a bit more depth to it and not be so... orange. lol. very nice piece so far

I think the idea with an extremely backlit character where the face is kind of diffuse seems awesome. Or that's at least what I've gathered from your concepts :P

update here. I made the dude a tad larger and the fire is now white hot for a sense of danger. didnt seem hot enough before ;p
i torn between the options of leaving him backlit in which case i'd hav to remove the fire in front of him or lightin up his front and keepin the fire, but it may not look as good. havent really done much on background though, i guess the firestorm will be raging over the city too ![]() i also realised today his pose is jus like that of my avatar ebtry from way back!! hopefully that wont matter |
