Roc's Thread
well since it's a trend and a good one i thought about making a thread. It should keep me motivated and expect for me to keep feeding it like it was my virtual pet or an alien monster that will eat the world if i don't give her freshly modeled things to eat... kind of...
i will try my best to populate the thread with models, from 10 minute ones to few hour ones, as they come and go really mostly just modeling and clay presentation but i would like to take my shot at good mapping, texturing, lighting, rendering and composition with the same models if possible. if you're extremely bothered. got pissed at wok and you need to vent out some of that energy or feel like sharing knowledge you can always come and critique the work, make suggestions or even ideas about what i should model next... will try to finish up work in 2 hour then model something nice, easy and 5 minutes worth, just to make the first step, not waiting for the perfect conditions... in hope's i'll make something worth looking at, cheers roc Last edited by rocneasta; 27-02-2013 at 05:13 PM.. |

God no, at least not the speed he has anyway
![]() i'm determined to model every day, 1 model per day. no matter how simple or complex, it's all depending on how much time i have... you see i thought about modeling for 7 hours today during the night where most folks are asleep - but in that time that i was thinking about it i actually didn't do anything since i was finishing the work project. But i did spend 2 minutes on modeling, and additional 10 to render it out. result is not the source of amazement but i modeled - which is ultimately the point. true and if the mods feel like moving the thread they sure can. I first have to grasp how low poly is done then do it. until then i'm trying to become modeling efficient and solve same problems in different ways

101 days have passed so i'm 101 motivational models away from my previously desired tempo... never late to start to make up for lost time...

cheers,
going with simple and fast to build, and trying to test different techniques of modeling... wouldn't hurt to combine them one day into a meaningful set |

cool works!
The only thing that bothers me is the clay render style. Im sorry but to me this kind of rendering is so old school. |
