Gift to the Gods - It was defnatly made by a God! - Andreas Olsen
Hello all,
And thanks to 3dtotal, for such a cool contest. Im am not as good as any of you guys here, so i join this contest to learn alot, and actelly make a picture, im satisfied with. My first idea on this is to make somthing huge, who could only be made by gods. but this is just my first thought, might aswell be somthing completly diffrent I wish you all the best luck, and i can`t wait to see all of your crazy entries for this one, and hopefully learn alot from you guys. Btw. sorry for my bad english. The best greetings Andreas Olsen |

With a sunset like that and blue glow on the stones (which mean a special attention to lighting) it could be very nice. Watch out tough for the composition, there seems to be a lot of empty space on both sides.
And now the title make much more sense ![]() |

Ok, sketched 2 others quick ideas down, i suck at it, but hope you`ll get a feeling of what i wants it to be.
The first sketch is a big rock giant, and only the Gods know what he have in mind, to do with that village in the background! Still thinking on a way this could be made diffrent, so it stills fits under the theme "gift to the Gods" The second sketch is a man, who lives alone in the dessert, and found whatever he had in his house, to make him a latter, so he can reach the sky, and handle the Gods a small gift *note it is a stick man who stands in top of the whole bunch of funiters he used to make the ladderI hope that i can stay with a concept tomorrow, and start some modeling! Godnight all! |

Ok, so i am hanging between 2 of my concepts, i will either go for my first sketch, and add some big stone golems, walking towards the stone, and add a small sacrafie table right in front of the stone.
Or then my 2nd concept, with a man in the dessert, climbing up all his stuff, towards a smale hole in the sky. And will try to make it a bit more cartonish then the 1st one. |

Hello all
I`am soon done with my stone golem, just need to change a little on the model, and work a bit with the texture, might try to add some blue lines, to indicate some light sparks in the texture aswell. So if anyone have some good ideas to make some light sparks on my golem, im listening ![]() Thanks Andreas Olsen |

I prefer the second one with only one golem and the guy praying before him. The composition is better and it would be less empty then the first one.

Hello
Havent worked so much on my image, as i havent been happy with my image. But yesterday i came up with a new location, im more happy about. I know that there isent alot time left, but i wanna give it a try. The man needs alot of work, need a head, and some feets and so on. But i wont spend to much time on detailing him, as he is suposed to stand on the rock bridge, far away from the camera, so they wont be noticed anyways. The 3dtotal uploader is messing up my red light, so here it is in a better version: ![]() Best Regards Andreas Olsen |
