Hi All!!!!

Im a newcomer and this is my first post. (sorry for my english

)...
My idea is to represent poseidon during his birthday...I will do all in zbrush...i also put a fast layout done in photoshop....every comment is the welcome one

hope that the job doesn't steal too much me time sigh

is this based on poseidon? i believe we arent allowed to portray or redesign existing gods. Hurry up and say its the god of squid faces.

@TNTx GRave : this is the rule ( 6. Image must be fantasy/sci-fi based from any world and of any time period but no references to any current real world religions please, however myths and worship of the past is fine, Greek, Egyptian, Mayan etc

Poseidon is a myth it doesn't belong to a religion....if I have been wrong I ask excuse everybody...=(

@paulius-st: I didn't like the idea of a human face for a god of the sea..as I have said Posidon are inspired by the myth of Chthulu

Not neccesarily religion, but even though he is a myth, he is still a God. I would suggest asking the MODs. Dont let my interpretation of the rules and of Greek Mythology slow you down...lol

I am pretty sure at 99% that Poseidon is falling into the rules, after all he is a God from greek mythology, so you shouldn't bother with this. I am curious to see how he will looks!

Great start, but you gotta watch out for your edge density. Right now it seems there are way too much edge in the fingers then compared to the rest, like the face. It will become heavy for the machine on later subdivisions. I am saying this because I experienced it at last month challenge :P. You could try deleting edges in the fingers in another app, or retopologize in Zbrush.
