Subject - Lost Jungle

Topic:

For this challenge you get a free hand to follow the topic, but we are aiming at two moods: forgotten and/or mystic, so please, no buzzing flying machines and no forms of advanced society.

Quick Ideas:

- Mayan/Aztec temples and cities (forgotten, realistic)
- Ancient ruins on a distant jungle planet (forgotten, sci-fi)
- Avatar like tree&tribe (mystic)

Requirements:

Your job for this challenge is to create a photorealistic or slightly stylized scene depicting a mystic and/or forgotten jungle scene.


Deadline:

May 2nd, 2010


Deliverables :

All participants are required to create their own thread where they need to provide the following:
- A work in progress (WIP) sheet
- A final image

In order to be validated, you must show us the work in progress. No entry will be accepted without a work in progress example

WIP Sheet

A WIP sheet is a compilation of images showcasing your creative process, from the initial sketches to the final image.

Final Image Sizes

For the judging stage we will accept submissions as .JPG files at minimum 1200 pixels wide.

Restrictions

-All images, including concepts, sketches, 3D assets, etc. must be made specifically for this contest.

-You are not allowed to post this image anywhere else until the challenge is over.

-No teams or groups – everything must be made by one person.

Oops! I guess, I just missed-out the deadline! I just completed my Matte entry and, was about to upload it to the Final Entry Thread; but, unfortunately found the thread declared closed!

I thought that, the closing time of the thread was 11:59 PM (GMT), on May 2nd but,...! Is there any ray of hope, to post my entry in the Final Entry Thread (there's still around 30 mins left for May 3rd)?

Me too ! I had the horrible surprise that WE had to put " again " our work in Final Entries. Just waiting for your answer to the email I sent you last night. We are already four with the same problem.
