problems with displacement in Maya 2009

I modeled in Zbrush an arm and with goZ i imported the model in Maya, but the displacement doesn't work very well, you lose the little details.
I said in ZBrush to make a 32bit displacement but in Maya I have a 16-bit displacement...why????
and if i try to export 16-bit displacement is ok, if i try to export 32-bit displacement is totally flat.
I don't understand anything !!!!!!
