FreeOrion project recruiting graphicians.

Hi Though this is shameless advertisement, this was the closest board it could fit and it offers great opportunity for artists to get experience with high quality game project, so I hope this will be allowed to stay.

FreeOrion, an open-source game based on Master of Orion, is a turn-based game of epic space strategy that builds on the classic '4X' model by incorporating the nation-building elements of games such as Europa Universalis 2 and a versatile tactical combat engine. While its modular, open-source design allows for a significant degree of customization of the game engine and the story elements by the community, the FreeOrion team is dedicated to the construction of a living, breathing universe in a 'grand campaign' model.

At the moment we are near completition of first betarelease, 0.1. and for coming releases, we are going to need graphics for planetary background images, spaceship designs, technology designs, alienraces, etc; a very interesting and fun area to work with. Currently graphics team needs new talents, so if you have imagination, knowledge with 3d, and dedication to stay with the project, feel welcome to take a look on our website and forums at www.freeorion.org and mail me to k0201783[at]evtek[dot]fi if you are interested in joining graphics team.

Screenshot of game's current state can be seen at:
