I just got back from a 2 week holiday to Germany yesterday. Whilst I was there I went to the “Japan Day” celebration in Duesseldorf.
http://www.duesseldorf-tourismus.de/...articleID=1251 I am kind of nuts about everything Japanese in case you hadn’t noticed. So here are some of the pics I took. These are from my digi cam, I actually took most with a film camera, but I don’t get them back from processing until later today. If anyone is interested in this kind of thing please let me know and Ill post more, Byyye ![]()

Hmm, yea all these guys doing the "samurai thing" were German. It was some kind of reinactment club or something. The martial arts demonstrations were the same, hardly saw any Japanese people involved in it.
But, there were loads of "real" Japanese around, they were just doing other stuff, mostly anything that wasnt violent was run by Japanese. My German is pretty nonexistant, but on occation I was able to get more sense out of some of the people than the Germans were as there were plenty of Japanese around that were also terrible at German. You should see these Japanese peoples faces light-up and smile when you speak to them in their own language ![]() This samurai village thing, was set apart from the rest of the stands. Pretty much everywhere else was mega crowded, so its hard to get any good shots without hundreds of people in the way. I just got my film photos back, Ill scan some and post shots later on
