so, TomorowsMemory does this mean in order to unwrap, you have to
put the logos/decals/numbers/letters/whatever on the unwrapped image in photoshop? That sucks!

I've tried everything but I cannot figure it by myself
The problem is that my objects (rigid bodies) should lie one on another, but actually the upper object seem to float. It reacts properly but it is bouncing before touching second object surface. Can anybody help me? |

Max Question
Q: Can texporter work with a mesh that already has an edited unwrap uvw modifier?
and... Q: If you have to map seperate parts of a mesh, do you have to unwrap them all seperately too? Or is there a way to get them all in the same screen? |

Hi Beatrix.....answers to both are yes
![]() Texporter simply takes your edited uvw map and converts it to a format that a paint program can recognize. You do all your editing in the uvw window anyway ![]() As for mapping seperate sections and having them sit on the same uvw window...yes you can do that also. See the Enrico car tutorial on 3dtotal site..he explains it quite well....good luck ![]() |

I have a small problem in 3dsmax.
I wanted to insert reference in scene, so; I've created a material with reference pic, turned on "show in viewport" option and assigned it to plane. But it lost all it's detail and looks like pic would be in low resolution but source blueprint isn't. ![]() When rendering everything is ok. Can anybody help me?

Max always shows refference planes as low res images in the viewport....that`s normal...not much you can do about it really.
You can tick -texture correction-...but it dosen`t do much..... |

Shuger..you can choose customize ->preferences, viewports tab..diplay drivers area..choose configure driver..and set Download texture size to 1024 check match bitmap as close as possible and check linear in both texel loop and mipmap look up..
that should give a very much cleaner image than the default..but It will take much more ram..so choose wisely ![]() P.s. this will work much much better, if your installed driver is other than software z-buffer, in fact some options dosn't exist in the software mode.

Re: reactor problem
Quote:
Go to the Utilities Panel>Reactor. In the Properties, go to the 'World' tab and decrease the 'Col. Tolerance' value to around 1. Now preview your animation. ![]() Last edited by prithvi; 23-09-2004 at 06:17 AM.. |

I'm sure this is a dumb question....
I have an object, and I want to draw a line that is tangent to it. The line keeps going THROUGH the object instead of just staying on the outside of it. Is there some way to tell max that the object is solid, so other objects can't go through it? Thanks

Q: How do I render those amazing wireframes everyone's getting?
Force wire frame in the render dialog sure doesn't give me what I'm after. I don't want to see through the object. I just want to see the edges on the surface. |
