music contrast

hello everyone, my first post here although i've been viewing the forum for some while now...anyway, i came up with an idea(rather/hopefully interesting idea) and thought i could represent it in 3d. C&C are welcomed.

-software:3dsmax 8
-renderer:vray
-just a little PS postwork for adding the DOF effect (not quite sure if i managed it good enough)

Pretty cool

Nice job with the lighting
cool concept too...although i think the sound doesnt come out of the end....
Maybe a little variation of texture on the headphone?

Aye maybe, but I love what you've done with it.

The concept that you can silence a musical instrument, whos acoustics are mdae from air and so go all around

thanks for the warm welcome and positive comments the headphones were modeled and textured having my actual headphones as reference but i think i could add some metalic shaded parts.

well i changed just some minor details (added some shadows on the wooden boards, made the materials on the headphones a lil' bit more diverse and increased the overall contrast). any other suggestions are appreciated
