Lukanus:
Very nice concept indeed (congrats on getting it up on the home page ). I like how you've put the lights in colour an the rest monotone - with that and all the smoke and the sharp little house in the foreground, it's a very sorrowful pic (for the people in the house, of course...not the people looking at your painting ). Great mood...spot on! Roflol: Pretty unusual style you got there Going for the meaning more so than the painting?! As simple a pic as it is, I think it works....though I still feel it needs a background (or a more smoggy look blending into the midground). It actually looks like you painted over a photo (just below the purple in the midground) - nice texturing if you didn't.Defaultalias: I really like this one....the near abstract perspective and the blotches of texture along with the colours you chose gets the theme across nicely. Well done. Rawwad: (post#16) This is really great. I like your scribbly technique and the colour palette. I do think there's a real industrial feel from this - If it was a populated city for example I would expect there would be many lights and it would be all clean and shiny. As it is, it's dark, dirty and dank ...and well....industrial! Nice one mate. (post#30): Equally as good as your first! Great choice of colours, great angle/perspective...and very smoggy! Can't crit you on much there! Great stuff! Hexonal: Excellent stuff. I love the rusty worn look of everything in the foreground (except for that shiny red rubber ball - really nice element ) and the perspective and blurred background. The whole environment is very well done. Hope you'll stick around - I wanna see more ![]() Rodriguez: Great concept...very original. I feel it's a slight bit too sharp in places and not sharp enough in others but overall the idea and the colours are very good. Artecnl: I'd spot your style a mile away (that's a good thing btw) Love the colour and layout and how the eye is drawn to that molten steel being poured just below centre. Nicely framed. Once again there's plenty of suggestive detail to keep interest. Really cool stuff! (or 'hot stuff' as the case may be ) (Btw...what happened you in the last one? I was all looking forward to your second concept vehicle entry...and then ...none! you never voted either! Hope all's cool with you anyway. Spose you're probably just super-busy atm like me!? ![]() Cheers guys |
