Sinclair Spectrum 48k
If you don't know what one of these are, you shouldn't be here. This is the reason why the British games industry has been thriving since the 80's. Every programmer started out one of these (as well as the 'lesser' C64, Amstrad CPC and ZX81). Great machine, without the great Sir Clive Sinclair, gaming and the games industry would have been so different today.
Thanks Clive! ![]() I've got a few extras to do with this. Keyboard texture needs tidying up a bit, the 'ports' need adding on the back, and the font below the 'Sinclair' logo. I'll get round to doing a power pack, a joystick, and a tape recorder as well. ![]() The whole thing was done in 3D Studio Max 8.5, and took about 6 hours, I resurrected it today, and sort of got it to this state. Textures are about 6000x4000! Trying to get my head round FOV now. Hope you like! ![]() ![]() http://files.myopera.com/talatkm/blog/Pix-1.jpg PS I think these were called Timex's in the Americas.

ahhhhhh happy days my friend, happy days playing Dizzy on this!!!
It was and still is a classic computer, remember the massive black coding book volumes? I had a friend who had 12 coding books each one about as thick as my thigh! Love the start you've made here, the render I took at first glance as your reference picture it's that good ![]() This is really great. Keep it up. Classic Gamer

Very nice
![]() I planned to model the Sega Megadrive/Genesis, but it never came about. I never played the spectrum. The oldest one I've played is the Amiga.

I've been trying, and failing and trying to model the Snes at the moment, I was maybe thinking of making it a new WIP but not sure If people wanna see it. It's suprisingly difficult to model too. I tried to model the Megadrive a year ago and failed to get the shapes right, although I managed to make the Sega Megadrive II, which is the smaller version, that came out quite good. Looking forward to seeing more of this, i'm loving the detailing and the render so far.
Kind Regards Classic Gamer
