Speed Painting Challenge no. 65.
here comes the 65th Speed Painting Challenge, starts now and ends on the 23rd of July, 2007, Monday.
to have some interesting change this time, lets have a different goal to achieve. might be little tough, but definately a great fun, with lots of stuff to learn at the same time. we are going to have a Matte Painting Challenge. Topic: Landscape with a caste and mountains (Matte Painting).okay, now as its different, so little change in the Rules: . outside images/photographs are allowed to use (as in photo-manipulation), along with painting. like you can use various photo elements of mountains, trees, castle in your matte. like how its usually done. but please remember, only for this particular challenge you are allowed to use images in your work, not for our usual speed painting challenges. all other Rules stay the same. its good to paint major parts, try not to make it look like a composite, which wont teach u much. good painting skill if used in matte paintings always give u high marks. hence, your work would be judged by seeing what and how have u created to make a strong scene. composition, focus, perspective, colors, mood, light, time of day, everything will be considered. so its good to show your paintings skills as much as u can to achieve all that. its upto you to paint in whatever style u like, realistic, or speedy. i personaly like atmospheric landscapes with lots of mood and drama. u can paint a peaceful green landscape or a stormy dark, rugged land, your choice. whatever u go for, do include a castle and mountains (thats our topic). u have more days this time, cause of more work that would be needed as per this challenge. so start working and posting. im sure to have a huge fun this time... .all the very best to everyone.
