h2k1 and Silver Bullet, thanks for the comments. I noticed when rendering that the directional pad seemed a little tall. The power switch is a mess, and it shows. As far as the transparent plastic, I had no idea. It's kind of difficult to tell from most pictures, but explains why I couldn't get the material looking quite right. Oh well, another challenge starts soon enough anyway.

finaly
here's my entry, had a busy week, i made the nintendo ds (edit: Lite)! i didn't had enought time to complete it, there are some features missing like: DS logo at the top no screwholes and other features at the bottom the filler cardridge has only the outer part. missing ds cardridge slot, wristband holes and power plug also the headphone symbol was nowhere to be found on the net. also i forgot to engrave mic next to the microphone apart from that is has all the features, mostly used (pro)booleans/cutters and some polymodeling.

I've been visiting threedy alot in the last couple of days but not commenting on much, been too busy but I really like alot of the entries this week. There's some really nice modelling and rendering going on. I'm really up for a new challenge now, this one seemed to go on for a long time i'm not sure why. Even though I knew it was a fortnightly challenge, it seemed longer.
Anyway, If I get chance I may comment on a few. Bust at the moment though. Kind Regards Classic Gamer

It did seem to go on for quite some time. A lot of that probably had to do with the absence of entries, or even comments, for two days.
What bothered me is that I was so eager for a new challenge this morning. Every once in a while I forget that I moved past the date line. I forgot that I used to have a new challenge to look forward to when I wake up on Thursdays. I kept refreshing the page all morning. At one point I saw that Marty was on. I was pretty disappointed in him later when I saw that he'd logged off without starting a new challenge. Of course, that disappeared as soon as I remembered that it was still Tuesday night/evening for most people. I don't know how much time I'll have to work on anything this next week, but I hope it generates at least as much interest.

That Sega Game Gear XT based on the Sega Master System II Joypad is brilliant, I really love that.
Well i'm afraid i've not had chance to do my comments page this time around, so apologies for that, hopefully it'll return for the next SMC. I'm been busy modelling though......... I've got to create a Toyota Rav 4 by Tuesday next week, and i'm only about 20% the way through at the moment. It's a really difficult model aswell, luckily I haven't got to animate it or anything, but the client just wants it in a studio style environment. The front bumper has taken me all afternoon to create, which has been till about 10 mins ago nearly 9 hours work solid. it's a good job that the client won't need to see the wireframe and some of my knife cuts and edge loops are horrific. Sometimes I think "Why did I agree to make this vehicle" then I remember that i'm getting a nice amount of money for this by the end of next week, and I carry on. You may be thinking "Hey CG why don't you purchase a Rav 4 from turbo squid or something?" but that's missing the point isn't it really. They are paying for my modelling experience, not for me to use a pre-made mesh and wait a few days and collect the money lol. Besides it's a heck on a vehicle to model and is challenging me to new levels of modelling.Anyway I digress. Bring On SMC 005! ![]() Kind Regards Classic Gamer

My day jobis IT and it's boring as hell. . . . . in and out of Cisco switches / routers and when I'm not doing that, I'm in Unix writing scripts to automate my job so I have more time to play. . . ( read that model in Rhino / XSI )
