ZBrush Alien

Hi, just wondering if anyone here has any cool ideas to improve the skin texture and shader for this model. The rendering is in V-Ray.

Thanks,

Matt

Very cool and very Sixty's!

I think the left looks better and more traditional, the right hand looks more like ET.

I don't think the model or render needs much work man, you have done a very nice job.

Thanks! The concept comes from an old black & white photo of a model someone made that was in the National Enquirer magazine. From the early 90's I think. Just a learning project to work on in-between jobs. I'm back to work so this is on hold again...

You did awesome work for the Iron Man model, looks like it could have been used in the movie.

I'd say definately look at adding a few high res details (just a few, being careful not to go into 'overkill land'). A few very fine wrinkles or folds about the eyes and center brow should help. If you have a look at the high frequency skin detailing freebie video for last week and change the alphas you can get a good skin texture pretty easily.

i also prefer the left one... its look great man.
the eyes in the right are too...human

maybe...just maybe.. increase the bump just a tiny bit
or, another thing you can try is give the skin a more "slimey" look,
more specular i guess dont know excactly how...
