Post Not conforming to path?

I've tried many times to get the slats (wood) to conform to the path yet the slats do not conform. I noticed the Editable Poly item in the tool box. Is there info not disclosed in the tutorial? TIA.

owlish.

Try switching your 'Path Deform Axis' values, as well as the 'Flip' checkbox.
A combination of the correct Deform Axis and Flipped or Unflipped will allow the mesh to conform to the path.
