Using maya lights in 3DS

hi guys!

I need to export some lights from Maya 08 to 3ds max 08.
can 3DS import lights such as Spotlights, directional and ambient light? and to which format should i export them from maya?

and i need to render in 3DS max using mental ray, as an addition to my light setup i'd like to use an ambient final gather lighting, but since i'm such a newbie to 3DS, where can i find the equal to Mayas incandesence on materials in 3DS?
