Yeah, you won't be able to go into edit mode with only the document saved. As far as I know, saving the document only saves what you have on the canvas etc.. saving the tool saves the actual model that you can edit. So unless you have to tool to load aswell somewhere, you will have to start again.
(also someone correct me if I am wrong... :P )

hmm, i have the tool of it at an early stage, my first pics of the head is as far as i got with tool, owell, ill just have to redo claws and body and hump etc
