hi le1setreter,about render times,if you preplan the size of images and render it in the resolution that you'll use in the final composition (in that case each image is 512x258) you can speed up render times alot,each image take 40 mins to reach 13 sample at the resolution that I specified earlier,the fourth image in the dx column takes 6 our but it's sample level 21.

Here's my entry, using the full 2 hours. I made the first nice camera I found from google images

I may work on a real beauty render if I have time.
I didn't have near enough time to put on all the buttons, but It came out better then I expected it too .
Made in Cinema 4D, rendered with Vray.

Hey blackham, that is quite a nice camera u modelled there

here's mine:

Its a old Rolleiflex "Twin Lens Reflex" camera, from the 30's
most objects are splines with a shell or Lathe modifier,
or are made from cylinders by using the inset and extrude tools

try to get into 3dsMax aswell, it wont hurt you (mutch)

the textures were actually also quite a challenge,
some actually came from the original (digitised) manual,
and some were just ripped of altimeters and vault dials

i actually got the camera type by searching for "steam punk camera" on google images.
once i got the name Rollei i started searching that ofc

also i planned the render sizes ahead of time,
it turns out that two 512x512 and one 1024x768 is making a 1024x1280 picture
