I've sold stuff on there - don't expect to get rich overnight but it's worth posting your models you've built and are now just gathering dust on your hard drive

![]() I gave it a thought but idk.....i can't really imagine ppl buying from there cause models get in the hundreds($). Id have to be a moron to buy a model from there but I guess companies who have crap modelers need to invest in TS. |

I've thought about it as well, but having been screwed on modeling projects before, am cautious. But if anyone does have sucess stories or can fill in the blanks I'd also be happy to hear about it.

someone bought my palm tree for 28 dollars
I uploaded it to see if someone will (it's not even textured) It took some time but someone eventually paid for it. I guess that someone will buy your models eventually if you upload very good ones. I think that I will fill out the IRC forms after I will finish my pantheon model and try selling it ![]() |

I'll vouch for TurboSquid, yes they are 100% on the level and pay promptly on or before the 15th of each month - either by cheque or by paypal.
If you get paid by cheque be aware it's in USD so anyone living outside the USA may have to pay a comission to your bank in this case it's worth looking at paypal as they have lower charges. Now here's a little "tip" If you get paid by cheque on TurboSquid you can ask them to hold your payment until there is a certain amount of money in your account however if you select paypal for payment you are paid every month even if there is only $1 in the account. So...... select cheque as your preferred means of payment, set the figure at a fairly high figure then when you want to get paid just change the payment method to paypal .Once again, it's better to leave your old models gathering dust on turbosquid where somebody may just buy them rather than on your hard drive where no-one will ever see them. I found a new website to sell 3D products, models, textures, etc…. The web is
http://www.the3dsite.com I found that they give us 70% of the sales! I understand that is a new webpage because I received an invitation to start selling my products uploading my files about a week ago… We can take advantage being the first modelers that upload our products there… I think is a good website… check it out |

Hey Everybody,
I'm one of the founders of TurboSquid and I lead the business now. Over 40% of the models published on TurboSquid sell, so it's worth it to sell your stuff it it is of good quality. There are a surprising number of people who now live on their sales from TurboSquid, from all parts of the world, but that takes dedication and hard work building a catalog of models to get there. We've been around since 2000 and were the first marketplace for 3D content. Autodesk, Microsoft and many other firms partner with us. Regards, Matt -- Matt Wisdom CEO http://www.turbosquid.com |
