Hey all,
I recon these contests are gonna attract loads of attention! But I think it's the best thing since... well since the beginning of time! So, that's where my weapon falls in. It was created to destroy all evil and protect the innocent! Haha, I'm crap at making up stories and stuffs.... so here is ref image of my 1st entry, A legendry Mace from WoW: |

looks good, reminds me of the meat hammer i'have got in the kitchen,
to make the meat thin and tender. nice job with the beauty render. btw. i noticed u're images a bit to large. dunno how picky judges will be, but better safe then sorry mate, even if it's 3 pixels i guess. All images should be no larger than 1024x1280 in a portrait or landscape format.

looking good - one crit though - did you mean for the centre section to look faceted? doesn't appear to be in the reference image but that might be the look you're going for? if not i'd either soften the normals (i presume you can do that in Max) or bevel the edges with a large offset to add some more geometry locally and smooth things out a bit.
beauty shots look awesome though. |

@ shivam3d - Thx dude, Hope I get in the top 3
@ bgen - Thx for the comment! The image was 3 pixels (like u said) to "high", but I have changed it now ![]() @ MrHarle - I'm still very, very new to modelling and I'm trying to iron out some of my mistakes. I'm using these comps to get the basics right etc. Maybe I win one of the comps and will be able to get some of those cool tutorial books ![]() |
