Yeah of course.

First things first, as you may have noticed its a fisheye Camera. This is because the animation is done for planetaria. So if you look at the picture you have to imagine that you are standing in a dome an the piture is projected above and around you. I will produce an HDTV version when I freed the animation of the last small errors.

The renderer I used is Vray its a very cool renderer but I like working with mentalray a little bit more. The main reason for choosing Vray was the intecreated dome camera which makes the creation of the fisheye image very easy. Normaly i cant life without arch & design materials

The first part of the animations is rendered with a fixed iridiance map and the second part is rendered using animation prepass and renderpass. I rendered out color, vray multimatte, specular, refection, raw lighting, zdepth and a separate ambient oclusion pass.

The sequence was composed in after effects. I did some color tweeking here an there main part was getting the focus looking right. Yeah in the real world there is no depth of field in a fisheye picture, but i dont think this should stop you when workig on a full 3d project.

When you are staying at flensburg you should definitly come to Kiel and take a look at the Mediendom, which is our planetarium / dome cinema. Send me a skype message i will give you a backstage tour

very cool, fisheye camera and rotations around objects makes me a little queasy, but it looks like a great animation.

Really impressive! I've never seen this video style before. It would be nice that you can see the stars when the view is leaving the planetory at the last pictures of the animation.
