vnmribaya - The Lonely Soldier - unknown
Hi, here's mine, I'm having trouble chosing a comp or putting one together. u can help me guys , this is the stage that gives me more headaches... i've drawn two comps, I'll really appreciate any suggestions.
This is my soldier, walking in the waste, towards some kind of sphinx or a dead half-buried, ancient robot, u can only see the head of, jaja and the second one, the last soldier, watchi ng how these giant monsters, walk through the clouds to destroy the last city. later |

I think the first one is heads above the second one. The first one, for me, has a lot of adventure about it, and definately feels like he is alone. the second one feels like he is more of a vigilante on a random mission. which could also be kewl. dunno i jst prefer the first one
. im a sucker for wide shots. good work btw!

Definitely go with the first one, I just love the mood and you can really feel that a story want to be told, or it the start of the end.
maawwaaa. ![]() great start as well. |

Damn you, you're efficient with your posts. Haha, just realized you have 52 posts and 6 awards, *******
. i also like the first concept especially with the lighting you gave it in the second pic. Very lonely and mysterious.

really nice work.
I must say that i am more drawn to the Second drawing, all though when i was looking at the giant Robots. I thought that they are inactive, and left from the last big war. |

thx pipo, yes, that s the idea, a deactivated or broken robot that has been there for decades and now is a part of the ruined landscape, im glad u picked up the story goin on, muahahaah u dont know if it is really dead, or when it can auto reactivate to kill ya! u dont know wath kind of species has grown or lives inside, jaja, i think its better to draw it that than write it...
and th esecond one i like it too, but like freekybevis said before, it looks like a guardian. maybe showign him in the figth, desperate fight, alone, outnumbered by these alien cloud walkers, m gonna give this a try later, but ive been with lots of work and i couldnt draw anything yet, but soon i'm gonna post progreess, cheers Last edited by vnmribaya; 14-12-2009 at 07:15 PM.. |

([correction]I'm kinda mixing the ruin concept with the robot ambush concept, but can be interesting.)
For the second one, may I suggest your soldier crouched down, a knee on the ground, and bent down. If he doesn't know about the robot ([correction]:the ruin), maybe he could be carefull? Some kind of "maybe I should hide, and progress slowly" mood. (Just a suggestion) Waiting for your next wip. ![]()
