Gift to the Gods - Another thread with an ambiguous title
So this will be my first contest entry and I am excited. I think that this will be a good opportunity to experiment with zBrush. I've had the program for a while now and I have only tinkered with it.
Here is what I am thinking: -I will sculpt a Greek/Roman sculpture in zBrush based off of a mythical god. -The sculpture will be placed inside of a temple or alter and will feature dramatic lighting -I will add a sci fi twist to the sculpture, giving it a futuristic theme. As if the Greek/Roman culture actually took place in the future. -The sculpture will feature a marble material with metal parts (like cybernetic implants). I'm thinking that I could add some really cool robotic/cybernetic wings. Oh, and lots of hoses...that should look cool. -The temple will also be a blend of Neoclassicism and sci fi. -The statue/temple will be the "Gift to the Gods" On a side note, does anyone know of any good tutorials/books for zBrush that you could direct me to. I am familiar with the interface of the program, I just am not too sure on the work flow. I know I could probably sculpt the statue but then how will I map and texture it? Should I use zSpheres? I don't plan on animating it since it is a statue? Any help would be great.
