Csaba Baity - WIP thread
I'm going to make a thread here to post my work in progress works. I decided to do this becouse i'd like to participate on DW5 main challange next year :P
I want to take it serious becouse my portfolio is full of old works, and in the last 4 years working in the industry i haven't have time or (spirit to work at home :P) to make something cool, or well detailed stuff. I haven't even drawn anything during last 4 years and becouse i use to draw on paper before i couldn't get familar with drawing with tablet on pc.. So i dig into the DW final entries, posts and everything to learn how it works and found out some practice work for myself. Nothing original just something wich i'd love to work on during this one month until the DW main challange starts.. I have a full time job so i can't work on it every evening but i'm trying to (well at least i haven't play Team Fortress 2 for weeks )It mostly consumes my weekends though, so i guess i will post here maybe about every week or so.. It's good for me to see the progress and by posting my wip works here is going to help to feel like i have to show something progress after a time, so that even if i'm tired i must work ![]() Last edited by tsabszy; 18-04-2012 at 01:22 AM.. |

so this is how my "concept" turned out.. i'm not really happy with it, since it's not fresh and the idea and forms are not special.. but it's ok for me for the 1st try.. i hope my skills will improove later :P
as Gman says: "We'll see about that" ---------- !!!ofcourse who inspired me and where my ideas came from is Slipgatecentral!!!! ---------- http://slipgatecentral.deviantart.com/#/d21avf0 http://www.gameartisans.org/contests...central_1.html Last edited by tsabszy; 20-01-2011 at 07:46 PM.. |

i had a little time today to model the main forms giving me more idea about how it's gonna look like.
the main shapes are in place, again i only made this model to check the silhouette and to see were whould be the main forms. the silhouette is ok for me, nothing special but i'd like to move on to work on the high poly model, since i don't have too much time till the end of the year :P |

some wip shots.. sorry i don't wanna waste my time on making cool renders so they are not the best.. and i forgot to save my render images in png format, so the borders are serrated too. but i have the feeling i wont be able to finish til the end of the year so i'm gonna spend all my spare time on modeling
anyway, i'm trying to work my ass off to finish it ![]() i mostly find out forms during modelling i don't want to strictly go by my concept drawing.. that only gave me a blury idea |

Looks great so far. The hipoly detail is very nice.
I personally do not like chicken legs....they always look awkward and are overused. But, its still a cool design. Keep it up |

i agree with you in every waywhen i started this project i just wanted to make some modern female warrior with an armor or a cyborg or something. when i started the sketching for my concept i had no idea how it would look like. later i figured out that it's gonna be an infiltrator character.. and since i'm not too good at desinging things by myself from zero i couldn't really find out something cool idea which whould give her a more interesting silhouette than a pair of normal legs. so i decided jumping legs whould be better idea coz it gives her a nice ability to run fast and get to the sniping spot in time.. though i was not really satisfied with this idea i couldn't afford to spend more time on brainstorming and i stack to this idea so i could continue becouse i don't have much time btw some updates are gonna coming tommorrow i guess so Last edited by tsabszy; 13-12-2010 at 08:16 PM.. |

a little update.. there are still places to fix and those tubes are template models too, later i'm replacing them if i'll have time. but i'd like to move on now.. i'm not sure what part i'll move on to. i was wondering about the helmet, or maybe her face.. not sure yet. i have too many work left so i'm not sure how i'm gonna continue
