Gecko skin isn't quite scaly like that. The scales are kind of bead-like, with clear spaces between them where you can see the underlying skin (medium tone-grey brown color). They're also much more pronounced and a fair bit larger.
Also, while you've got some minimal defintion in the underlying musculature, it's not enough, resulting in a fairly cartoon-like look to it. If that's what you're going for, then nevermind.

Well the brownish cavity map is ruined it for me i prefer the render before this one. But hey maibe that just me.
