ClassicGamer-3DT : Should I use the exact resolution 1280*1024 ??
I have uploaded them on 3dtotal's server. Please tell me, as I need to modify them ASAP if required.

Extension? Ooh yes! And Leonheart, great looking entry. It's making me want to model Hungry Hungry Hippos. Or Doh Nutters! I think the rules are up to 1280x1024.
Just attempted this one. Be prepared for the messiest wires you've ever seen! Software: 3ds Max Modelling time: 90 minutes Rendering time: 5 minutes Time being frustrated that I hit the limit before making it look better: about half an hour and a chicken sandwich. EDIT: reuploaded larger images. Shadows went a bit screwy on the wire, but hopefully clear enough. Last edited by Mikleton; 26-03-2011 at 06:17 PM.. |

Well, this was an easy choice, given my fondness for modelling Lego.
So, here's my entry. I couldn't spend much time on textures or making the compositions spiffy, due to a tight schedule, but I hope the modelling work and everything looks good.

I'm the Juggernaut B***!
Alright so I did it, but I wish I had more time to put in some details and everything.
I'd also love to do this model as a roundrobin sometime. ![]() The Juggernaut:

Not trying to over step but i thought i'd write some things about peoples entries.. i wont be cutting about them..
CHAO5 - Nice model but the wire frame view is unclear Bgen - Lovely Elmo - but wire frame looks nurbs smoothed.. CHAO5 - Again looks like nurb smoothed for wireframe Dantrodger - Nice model, but room for improvement. Trash - Nice spin topper GreekyPanda - Nice Entry Adam_Kehoe - Good Entry, Nicely modelled Terry1337 - Nice, like it.. Matticus-b - thats a lot of polys used for such a simple model.. Ruofan - i like this one, its a good effort.. Mikleton - Awesome Train. love it.. Rocneasta - first of your many i believe.. great model.. Nocturn8 - Never fun going up against you in these comps.. love the lizard.. Lonelymonk - Well modelled, and textured, really like this one.. the beauty shot looks cool too.. Rocneasta - i didnt like this one i'm afraid dude.. not your best effort.. cant fault the modelling mind.. but you know what i mean.. LLambertt - The first of the potatoe heads.. love it.. glad you sorted the clay render out.. Neil_F01 - I'm not that arrogant.. as to comment on myself.. but yeah it kicks ass.. lol.. Grafi - Is this a real toy, or something you came up with.. as i do like the idea of a pryimid rubic cube thing.. GaretJaxSozap - Good effort.. Vitrux - Great modelling, love the render.. Pables - Good old bert and ernie.. (tell me are you gonna make ernie).. love it.. Peas - Now correct me if i'm wrong, but that cover thing for the chain looks smoothed on wireframe mode.. (great job otherwise.. dont get me wrong). Vitrux - damn you,, this model is so awesome... Leoheart - Cool model.. wireframe is a little confusing.. perhaps next time you should try separating the individual pieces.. Mikleton - Cool was waiting for a playstation to pop up.. Aramor - You know if i didnt hate lego so much i'd like this entry.. so i'll just shut my mouth shall i.. lol.. ![]() Rocneasta - Damn it.. love this model.. great use of time and what not on the detail of the model.. Grafi - awesome.. glad someone gave it a go.. Well hope i dont **** anyone off.. and if i'm right and your wireframes were nurb smoothed then you probably wanna change that now while you have a chance..

Thx Neil_F01 for the nice words, but i've always problems with the textures.
modelling is a little bit easier and in the first model, too much twist ![]() but now, the 2nd run with some shoes Edit: editing the pictures, size 1280*1024 is not possible, because the final render has more than 195 kb Last edited by Trash; 31-03-2011 at 08:48 PM.. |
