paulius-st - Can't help but love that entry
Just make me smilebgen - Technically the Illustrator files imported into the software of your choice will be in the same state as a font spline so i'm not going to count the creation of the font in illustrator. It's drawn in Illustrator, and there's points moved around but it's not the same. HOWEVER if you created the spline within your software of choice then it will have to be counted into the modelling time frame.

paulius-st - Very nice entry, I had that idea myself but I just couldn't do anything decent within the time limit. Very nice job.
And....here is my first entry, hope the wires are clear enough:

I might be wrong, but isn't the clay render optional if you have the beauty or is it the other way around?
Anyway I hope no one else does the bad robot logo. the Day After Tomorrow is a little too complicated for me to get done in the 90 mins. And I'm without computer after tomorrow By the way great job everyone, I really like the pixar logo. how'd you get the light in there? |

Beauty render is optional not the clay, so kindly please add your clay composite to your original post vicban3d, thank you
![]() You'd be surprised how many members never read the rules, they look at topic and get modelling ![]()

Sorry about that, guess I missed it in the previous SMC(although I did read the rules at least twice
) and no one pointed it out then. I'll edit the post ASAP. Thanks!

OK so this is a little bit off-piste. I had this idea that I wanted to combine Portal and the great Saul Bass 'Vertigo' poster. I had originally intended to model an environment with portals receding into the distance, but I slightly underestimated how long it would take me to model the bot, even though I really tried to plan it in advance.
The final model really only make sense in the beauty render, so I'm not sure where that leaves me with the competition. Lots of reusing the same bits of geometry to save time, and I really think he would have benefited from a fetching hat, as in the original poster. |

That's a really clever & imaginative idea there.
