March 2012 Stylized Challenge #03 - What If Disney Had Done It?

I can only hope I will have time to participate in any of the competitions . When Disney have released their G-Force movie, I did this picture for my friend who has a site about guinea pigs. I guess it would fit this challenge theme perfectly.

This sounds so fun, especially since I love cartoon type characters. I'll try some sketches, I know what movie I want to do though

err, can we do both 3d and 2d? Like an equal blend? With my idea I could throw up models pretty well as placeholders, but since the contest is based on 1 final image that would leave it open to a lot of post-process work as well.

Well i'm sooo disappointed with the reception for this challenge, we are into the 2nd and final month for this challenge now and nothing.... I know people are busy......just a shame really.

I have been veeery busy, and I did not want to start a thread just to abandon it on the way (I even started the thread twice but scrapped it). But it seems I may be able to do something in the end. In fact I have had this concept for entry for quite some time now. I even have the reference pictures I will need. I will start the thread now and upload some work in the evening

I would like to ask you a favor... keep your fingers crossed, I just sent an email to the prospective client (japo nervously grabs a jar of fingernails and starts biting. Not biting. Munching)

Don't give up yet! It's such an awesome idea for a challenge, but it's also very difficult. Can't just slap big eyes on something and call it a day, that's for sure!

I am making a transition from Max to Maya and I have been sketching ideas for this challenge. I will probably begin modeling soon!
