Specular not showing up!

So I got my SSS skin shader with mental ray in Maya. I'm rendering with an Environment sphere and HDRI map. I can see specular highlight on other shaders such as blinn... but SSS spec is not showing at all. I don't have any other light setup in the scene just the HDRI.

Do you suggest adding a Light source to the scene. I really don't know the workflow of environment map with a humanoid.
