optitrack mocap works really nice. it streams your animations into max. not sure about maya. but it's a really nice packages and really easy to set up. and fairly cheap.

You can stream mocap data in real-time into Max or MotionBuilder, but not Maya. (Though, we do have a real-time plugin to Maya for virtual camera data, specifically.) However, recorded data can easily be integrated into any Autodesk application via FBX, or nearly any other 3D animation package via C3D or BVH.
