a problem in 3d max edit uv

i have a big problem.

i want to pick a texture for background of the edit uv window in 3d max 2012. but it tooks me a long time to open the small window to select the "Bitmap" button from that.

The file was in network so i thought the problem is that... i copied all files and textures in my own drive but the problem still exists.

my friend beside me doesn't have this problem but i do! please help me on this! thank you all

if it's a large file it'll take ages - especially if it's a PSD
