Max 2012 Cloth Disappearance Issue Solve

Hello there guys. I'm a little uncertain to whether this threat belongs in this topic but I'm just giving it a go since Cloth is somewhat skinning / riggin ?

Oh well. Here it goes.
I've myself encountered the fact that my cloth objects disappear from time to time when I start simulating and my only way out have been to remake the object. But i found a way that seems to fix the houdini like cloth so it doesn't disappear anymore.

---------------------------------------------

FIX
The fix is simply to export the object to a .obj file in Max and import it once more.
I tried to attach it to an other object so the object information would now belong to an entirely new element but it didn't work it out. Neither did the usage of reset XForm nor exporting to FBX. But OBJ did do the job

---------------------------------------------

If other people have better solution that my solution that doesn't require these measurements it could be cool if you could share them.

Hope it was helpful. In some way

Cheers
Stefan

its extremely unlikely that the cloth modifier is deleting the object from the scene.

i suspect you now have 500 cloth models floating around

There is no problem of application or yours. It is the problem of your system just upgrade your system with processor, and graphic card. Your problem will be solved.
