seeking pen tablet advice
To improve my productivity and to make myself more versatile while using my pc to create digital art, I have finally made up my mind to buy a pen tablet.
Budget is not the most appropriate for the purchase, nonetheless I hear that $200 can still get a pretty good pen tablet. Any graphic and digital artist will tell you that, straight-out, the best pen tablets are wacom and thus I have narrowed my choice from this brand to the intuos4 but am unsure as to whether size makes a great difference since my objective would be to buy the small one. Another possible candidate from wacom is the bamboo create, but reviews in amazon insist that its strictly for anyone who is just starting out whereas I require one that is a professional, and yet as cheap, as I can get it. Inspecting further I found some good reviews for Tooya pro graphics tablet, but am unsure as to how this one would compare to wacom, specifically where drawing is concerned, or if it would be usable professionally. I would appreciate if anyone who has had experience with pen tablets would provide me some r recommendations as to which of these, or any other, pen tablet would be best for my purchase. intuos > everythng else
i cant decide whether i'd prefer a4 or a5 size if I only owned one. I find the smaller ones work better for sketching and sculpting but the larger works better for full on painting . at your budget you're looking at the small ones anyway I think. they're definitely worth the price premium over non-intuos. don't discount the intuos3 if you can find one cheap - they're just as useful as the 4 and seem to be more robust (ive got 2 intuos3 that are 6-7 years old and in perfect condition) |

well for 200 dollars you can get a bamboo - its realy good and works its money like a champ, and i my slef use one at work and i love it. i allso own a intuos 4L and i allso love it too.
so my advice is - by a wacom . either its a bamboo or intuos 5 or these cintique one's - they are awesome experiance and never lets you down. as for intuos3 poopipe mentioned - if you can get one - by one. in my experiance its the most reliable model wacom has ever made, and most of my colegues agree with me. here is a link to ebay i found in a minute for intuos 3 - priceses are good and you'll have some spare money left for other stuff ![]() http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...uos+3&_sacat=0 |

I went with the small one. Although, I'm thinking of selling it and getting that new widescreen HD Cintiq. But then I would need to give up one of my hobbies, to afford it.

I'm thinking about getting a girl prego, so I can sell the child to get one.
That, or have Wacom sponsor a comp, they've been asking to do so for awhile. |

LOL Big Toe thats the spirit
![]() Yeah if monies an issue I would aim for the bamboo large I use it at work and It gives good results though the pen doesn’t feel that amazing. If monies not that big an issue aim for the intuos 4 med or large, they feel good though there buttons aren’t that amazing :/ |
