Was at the gym today. And i did 10.5km in 92mins, im getting there. But my goal is to be able to do 21km in less than 90minutes, and i will probably sign up to Gothemburg half marathon for next year.
The ankle is feeling way better, it's still some soreness during the running, but not so much afterwards.

last night i did 23km in 59min cycling. From my perspective running 21km in 90 minutes should be doable but hard

Yep hard as hell, but i would probably be happy with a time of around 2hours aswell. Thats if i can keep a pace of around 10-12km/h.
So i just have to keep on working, and see where it takes me. I have a year to keep training before the "race".

I wish I was better with longer distance running.
I had a race with a guy yesterday, but it was only a short run from one point to like the end of the road, and I won easily, but thats a short distance. I'm really good for short distance running, but all my energy dissapates really quickly. I can't control that, as I like to run fast, so I last a minute at that speed and I'm out. If I don't feel under pressure to run fast, I can't. But the weird thing is, if I run slowly, trying to run as fast as I would normally, I get tired faster and certainly don't cover the same distance. Adrenaline maybe?

speaking of running i get the same thing. i can skate for miles and miles, i used to do 25 miles without stopping without much strain, just thirsty as a mofo. Bicycle fits me well as well, but running, short distances ok, longer distances not so good, I guess it's not about deliberate control of breathing but subconscious one and practise. Making your body get used to running that's all. Typing here ain't gonna cut it
![]() Speaking of running, i just got brand new skate liners for my old skates, so that running will w8 a bit ![]() |

Shaved my mug today, and my third chin tells me I should drink less beer, eat less snacks, and bike a lot more.
Damn you Denmark!

If you by mug means your beard, Im in the same situation.
But i usually keep some beard/stubble in the face. If i shave it complety i look like an 15year old fat kid. And if i have som stubble/beard, i look lika a sexy 21year old Not a hard choice there :P But i hope i can stop eating so much scrap food, like right now i have just eaten a bunch of cookies. Hopefully i can start to hold my new diet. which means no candy/snacs/Cookies. Maybe some on the weekends but in moderation.

I actually ran 4 days ago a mile, or what I thought was a mile.
The round the block trip happened to in fact be 1.3 miles as mapped out by Google. I did it in 10 minutes 39 seconds. I thought that was pretty good for my first real try, though the next day, and even worse the day after, my LEGS KILLED at the front. I bike it to work there and back when I can, and have been especially past week as the weather has been really good, but the muscles I must have ripped must not be affected with biking, because I could bike fine, but yet, couldn't bend down on the same day due to the running. So they must affect a different group. My legs have healed now though, and I'm going to attempt another mile run tomorrow night; This time with help from Google so I know exactly what a mile is. I will report back tomorrow night on this! ![]()

@ Kage - the principle of muscle development - change your exercises on a regular basis. This is present in weightlifting/bodybuilding etc but it applies to everything. Muscle adapts to certain type of stain and you don't stimulate him to grow. Change it up, mix it and he get's stressed
![]() I have been putting running of for too long, i should get back into it, but the weather you guys have been blessed is so not happening here. Rain showers every day fall unpredictably |
