fantastic modeling, your animation shows some intersection of the frame and lower cylinder though.

Koldo: Thank you! Im glad you like my work.

I have started working on textures. I have no idea how to create good textures so I have to practice as I go along,

So far so good.

xtrm3d: I just use maya for modeling and organizing scenes. I use keyshot for rendering.

needse: Thank you! Its gonna get more insane in the next few days

karras: Yes. Booleans is a major major part of my work flow.

Hello

just wanted to update this thread here.

A bit of news. I quit my job as a tech advisor!!! I want to live my dream of getting paid to create art. Ive been kinda stressed out working a boring job that doesnt involve my passion.

I found some pretty nice paying art jobs around my area so Im going to finish my portfolio pieces and start looking around. Ive been doing non art related jobs for too long. Its time to start living the dream

These next few days are going to be tuff. I cant really be without a job for too long so I have to get this project done right and as soon as possible.

I added some extra stuff to the protector model. The smoke launchers where the main thing. and the 25 mm gun is pretty much done as well. still needs some cad work but its there. I will not be texturing the model as it will take too long to unwrap and texture. Ill be using a gpu accelerated render as well.

My biggest challenge right now is going to be to model an entire military truck in a few days. Since I am not working Ill have about 16 hours a day to dedicate to modeling. Good thing is that I will not be modeling the truck interior, engine, frame or transmission. Ill be modeling some suspension parts. But only the stuff that gets seen in the final render. Unfortunately I do not have time to put my all into the truck model

Cheers and wish me luck!! Ill have to stop work on the cop bot untill this gets done

heres some shots of the truck. It is Oshkosh M ATV. Just finished the proxy model today and already started the hi detail stuff.

In the end the project will end up as a brochure to showcase my design and layout skills.
