small update to the spaceship, added fuel tank and braces. Haven't touched this for ages and had a little play with it again today.

Thanks, these renders are just the mental ray sun and sky in the daylight system
![]() I'm not going to do anything else with the robot, it was a quick model for a speed modelling challenge, and i dont really like it anymore. I am prob going to model a robot after i finish this project off, been fancying doing one for a while.. I have sort of got a grasp of where i want to take this now, here are some basic screen grabs of what i am thinking mini guns mounted on the sides, and (possibly) one bigger gun on the front, like a cannon. ![]() Another little update ive done today Last edited by dantrodgers; 20-11-2011 at 11:47 PM.. |

decided to try vray instead of mental ray so i can use vrayproxies for grass and stuff. pretty weird to get used to imo.
oh yeah, the model was originally made in archicad 15 and taken into 3ds max. Last edited by dantrodgers; 21-01-2012 at 02:45 AM.. |

Another update.
Anyone know why the images looks much better in the V-Ray render window that they do when i save or take into PS?? tried saving as a few different file types too.. |

thought id post a few updates of my work, its been a while.
Got my first freelance modelling job recently , so my personal work had to take a back seat.Haven't really done much on this for a month or two, and it still needs a fair bit of work, but here's what the eco-house looks like atm ![]() ![]() ![]() Some paper cut-out style models I did my my girlfriend. ![]() And a play with MassFX ![]() And my latest SMC entry - its Butch's watch from Pulp Fiction.. the one that lived in Walken's arse. ![]() c&c would be great ![]() |

Done a little bit more to the space ship.
Decided to have telescopic arms on the sides which will be a fair bit longer than in the pic now. I've also had a play with textures to get a grip on where i want the final design to go. |

Pretty much finished the rocket boosters and arm/claws now. Got a bit bored with modelling so though id have another play with Vray and PS |

Had a break from the spaceship while i figure out where the design is heading so I had a play around with Vray proxies and made a new blog header.
