The latest piece is a very good one of lighting illustration. Love how the light shines through the courtain, the translucence of the fabric, the glass door...the reflection on the vase, the glass table, how the light bounce back to the laptop cover. Its just so inspiring! Perhaps the color value could be a little higher? Thats just my feeling. I just love studying this piece

Thanks a lot for your compliments, Itken84
I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. The light was definitely wonderful there, I had fun painting it. If you mean the saturation, that was probably a notch higher in the reference, but I actually toned it back slightly in the end, to keep it more natural ![]() And therrrre we go. New image. I'm quite glad to be done with the new one, it's been bugging me for a while now, haha. Anyhow, won't bore you with too much explanation, I hope you guys like it and I am curious to hear what you think ![]() ![]() Cheers, Daniel

Lots of things happening in this image, you have movement on all sides. Very cinematic. Love the boat and its name which is kind of ironical considering this time it didn't escape

Hi, Memod! Just finish scanning through your thread and I must say that you have a lot of good stuff in here. All of your pieces are well rendered and I also like the variety. Keep up the good work, man.

This is a wonderful portrait! Looks realistic and the perspective of the color of the painting was smooth and I'm very looking forward on this work. I say "Excellent"

Hewoo =] As so often, it has been a while. But I finally found the time to finish something new, even though it's nothing out of the ordinary. There's just so little time for personal stuff, meh
![]() Anyways, as usual, I'm curious to hear what you think =] ![]() Cheers, Daniel

You are a rare sight indeed but at least every time you drop by you come bearing gifts. Awesome scene - if monochromatic. The mood it sets 'tho with that fog for depth and the flanking dark peak surrounding the snowy path is sweet. Great work!

There we go again! How are you guys? I still barely have time for personal work, but after enough late nights I finally managed to finish a piece
No photos or textures used in this one, it actually began with a tiny ballpoint sketch!Hope you guys enjoy =] ![]() Cheers, Daniel

Brilliant work, love the lighting and how the dead bodies aren’t noticed until after your eye wonders around the image :]

Your monochromatic image of the mountains with the guy walking its quite impressive. The atmosphere is perfect, and the scale as well. Im going to try one
Its the first time I see your thread, I dont know how come I didnt see it earlier. You have some great stuff here. Do you work with Photoshop only or do you use something else ? |
