Dice Project Completed
Hello,
I finally got a project completed. Its main purpose was to advance both in modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering techniques so I worked on a very simple scene. It took me one day to finish it and learned quite a bit. I modeled one dice (Cube+Boolean...), textured it using Mental Ray A&D materials, set up 3 omnis and rendered several passes. Since I didn't know much about rendering passes with MR, I rendered nearly all passes possible : alpha, A&D output, raw, reflection, indirect illumination, beauty, AO, lighting, spec, and a few others....) and composited them in PS playing with the blending modes (multiply or screen) to arrive at a decent looking render. For the polys counts, It's 1960 polys. I guess I could reduce it but I really wanted my dices detailed so I didn't pay much attention to that. Cheers |
