ZION concept car design
Im new here,, hehe
I do concept car design, this is one of my new rides. ![]() - ![]() - ![]() about the design been working it for about 3 weeks or so, but only about an hour a nice messing with materials, modeling took about 8 hours or so. this project is just personal. its mid engine car, (rear placement) the scoop on the front,, the mouth pick the air up and filters it through a radiator in the mouth cooling oil for the dry sump motor, it pumps the fluid from the from the front to the rear and uses tanks that store the fluid for lower center of gravity and wieght ballence. after the air exits the front mouth it exits thru the channel on the hood then flows over the top of the car. the small inlet on the nose is for interior cooling. the side vents are motor cooling for a air cooled motor that needs no radiator also for the rear disc breaks for cooling. the rear deck with all the steps will let out some of the air pressure inside the motor cavity and also vents on the main tail plate where the tail lights are placed the rear deck with be fiber glass or some other material that will be transpartent. with another window inide there looking past the motor bay. look at a ferrari f40 and a FORD GT40 and you'll understand where I was going with this. also the vents and slots on the side behind the front tire is for pressure release around the tires and break cooling, there are 2 slots in the front by the fog lights that are channeled to the breaks. that about how all these types of cars work... look as a Saleen s7 also great car that moves me. =D __________________ Last edited by Wyatt; 03-08-2003 at 07:24 PM.. |

You should see my face right now Wyatt, I'm stunned... It's really great!
lamer_T is right tho, you posted in the rong section... It would have been better at final 3d artwork. I know it's your own design, so mention that! |

I like this car very much. I saw it on cgtalk.
How did you do the lightning? Did you use brazil skylight? I see a small problem on the roof of the car. The HDRI isn't completely seamless, you can see a line between the two parts of the car. |

Yanik, you caught me,, hehe, Yeah thats a problem I didn't notice till too late, but liked the design so much I kept going.
Its all just max5 no pluggins, Light Tracer with Skylight, background is a Floating point Tiff and the skylight is linked to that also, giving the HDRI effect. I used HDR Shop to convert the HDR files to TIF. Chris-3DT-- yeah Enzo meets F40,, I just wanted to try my hands at that sort of style, yet still be smooth and edgy. ribaja-- thanks a bunch bud. |

looking at it once more i realize that you should invest some more time in painting a texture for the tires

yeah I'm still playing with it, I think a bit of text and what not will make it look a bunch cooler. I might try that this friday if not sooner.
