i've been told booleans are a big no no. But i'm guessing you know that already - this is just some test you are doing?

I don’t think he will be smoothing the mesh so it shouldn’t be an issue??

the thing with doing it this way is the pieces are almost uneditable
final product looks nice though so crack on mate |

Thank you guys for the compliments. Yes I use a lot of booleans. I have never had any issues with it. I dont smooth any of my models either.
Heres a render test. I dont like it. It looks fake ![]() Ill need to keep tweaking the shader and light setup to get it right. ![]() |
